I am Peyton Pocock, a Digital Designer and Web Developer from Cornwall, UK. In February 2022 I joined Hundo as an intern for six months. During this time I explored front-end coding, initially contributing to web development projects while continuing to learn the fundamentals of different JavaScript frameworks. After my six-month trial period, I decided to focus on my career with Hundo, which offered me a full-time role with ongoing in-house training. Subsequently, I was promoted from Junior Webflow Developer to Technical Marketing Designer & Developer, in line with my widened responsibilities.
During the first year of working for Hundo, I made an active effort to observe how and why decisions in the business were made. I increasingly became involved with product focused group discussions. Over the past 2 years I have gained valuable insight into product design and development. I vastly expanded and scaled Hundo's marketing site, growing monthly viewership to 4,000 users. I manage the brand design system in Figma, regularly updating the design language across the marketing site and product app. All internal and external design assets are created using this design language in Figma and Canva, enabling seamless collaborative ideation and continual iteration. I also oversee the internal marketing tech-stack, where users are automatically segmented based on website interaction. I support campaign design and create data-driven outreach emails in Active Campaign, informed by insights from Google Analytics and VWO. This integrated tech-stack allows for regular A/B tests on our email campaigns and web pages to continually improve engagement.
I am the technical producer for monthly virtual events which provide Hundo with a recurring generation of new client leads and high-quality marketing content; supplementing user acquisition efforts with free and paid-tire content. Over the last six months I’ve taken on the responsibility of managing a video editor, ensuring content is aligned with our brand standards and marketing strategy. These videos have a combined 108k impressions over the last year, a 135% increase compared to the year prior. For paying users, Hundo’s headline feature, Career CoPilot, is powered by large language models and user context to provide tailored careers advice for students. My strong understanding of fundamental AI concepts has helped inform features added to Career CoPilot. For example, I created a system that analysed the sentiment of hundreds of videos and articles to automatically bucket content into predefined categories. This allowed us to dynamically suggest similar content to the user after finishing a video or article. Recently I have been working on improving my proficiency in animated and interactive 3D graphics using Spline and Blender.
While employed by Hundo, I have worked on several collaborative product development projects. For use in client demos, I created an interactive product mockup which helped secure multiple contracts and user onboarding commitments. I have been a key decision maker in the company’s brand identity and marketing strategies, as well as additionally managing multiple partner brand websites for Hundo. These include the Tech Netherlands Advocates, the Global Tech Advocates Metaverse, and the Tangoo Live Events pages. At the end of 2022 I was invited to speak on-stage at Retail Week Live to provide my perspective about the future of interactive technology for in-store retail experiences.
In addition to my full-time role at Hundo, I also work on occasional freelance projects. For a London-based wine distributor, I integrated an interactive quiz users could use to match their taste preferences to a tailor generated list of wine suggestions. 30% of users that completed this quiz added a suggested product to their basket.
Additionally, to coincide with a headline performance with Coldplay, I relaunched a website for Estonian-based orchestra Nordic Pulse. This site uses an interactive 3D logo and animated background, dynamically reacting to mouse movements, clicks, page scrolling, and featured content.

My story
I am Peyton Pocock, a technical designer and front end developer with experience working on freelance projects, a technical design studio, and most recently, 2 and a half years of experience at an education-tech startup. I am from Cornwall, south-west England; while in school and college I particularly enjoyed technical creative projects such as filming and editing promotional material, leading the extra-curricular Lego engineering club, and organising & assisting visitor open days. This inspired me to take an extended level 3 design and digital media course at college, producing a full brand design for a fictional cereal, an accompanying promotional video, and an interactive 3D web experience to showcase the project's technical development.
I joined hundo at the start of 2022 for an initial 6 month internship with hundo, a tech-education startup. At first I worked with the technical team to develop front-end web pages; this allowed me to begin learning coding concepts, which is something that is still remain curious about. I spent this first 6 month period working 3 or 4 days a week with hundo and another 3 or 4 days a week on a passenger ferry operating off the Cornish coast. Towards the end of this 6 month period, as the sailing season was coming to an end, I transitioned to working for hundo full-time in favour of attending university. Despite being accepted to both UAL & UWE, I was unable to attend university because of personal circumstance. During this time I was

In my current role at a technology-education start-up, I am directly responsible for the ongoing management and development of 5 separate subsidiary marketing websites. This includes creating new pages and accessible components, in accordance to brand guidelines and project briefs as well as establishing immersive user interactions.
One example of a solution I really enjoyed working on was for London based artisan wine currier, PlonkWine. In discussion with their team about increasing personalised user suggestions, we decided to create an interactive quiz users could complete to match their preferences with wine from the company's stock. Within the first month of deployment, the solution directly generated a ~20% increase in sales. More than 1 in 3 people that took the preference-matching quiz then proceeded to make a purchase.
In 2023, I was a speaker at the marketing-centric event, RetailWeek Live. I was invited to share my views on the future of the fashion industry in the context of increasingly tech-driven, retail experiences.
